Lose 10 pounds by decreasing your calories intake

It is very easy to lose 10 pounds. Lose weight by finding ways to decrease calorie intake and increase calories being used.

  1. Drink water. Water is one of those lose pounds fast wonders. Most people don’t drink as much water as their body needs. Kidneys need water to work. If they don’t have enough water to function the liver has to take over. That takes it way from its job, metabolizing fat. Instead of burning fat the body stores it. When kidneys have enough water the liver can metabolize fat. Suddenly there is weight loss and those hard to lose 10 pounds start to disappear.
  2. Reduce or control portions. Food portions are often disproportionate to what a body needs. Most people consume more meat and carbohydrates then needed. When having a meal ½ the plate should be vegetables and fruit. ¼ is for grains or potato and ¼ for meat or meat alternative.
  3. Consume fewer calories. By consuming fewer calories than the body uses in a day results in weight loss. It is important to know the calories in food. Make meal decisions based on the most food for the fewer calories. Fruit and vegetables are quick and easy low calorie foods. Replace the high calorie foods like an apple fritter donut with an apple to be successfully at losing weight.
  4. Cutting out junk food is a healthy way to lose pounds fast. Losing weight can result from simply stop drinking pop. Junk food is full of fats, carbohydrates and unwanted useless calories.
  5. Limit fat consumption. Fat simply becomes fat. The more fat consumed the more fat the body has to store or metabolize.
  6. Increase fibre intake. Fibre extends the felling of being full after eating. This reduces overeating helping with weight loss efforts.
  7. Lower Carbohydrates.  People simply consume more carbohydrates then needed. Do not cut them out completely. Just reduce the quaintly eaten in a day. Reducing carbohydrates and increasing vegetable consumption is a healthy way to lose weight.
  8. Be aware of what is being eaten. It is easy to eat more than intended when eating from a package. There is more control when a small portion in dished out and the package put away. Don’t eat in front of a T.V., more food makes it to the mouth then the eyes see. Not a good way to lose weight.
  9. Stop eating when full. The full signal means no more food. Don’t keep eating just because something is available. The body knows when it is full. There is no reason to keep eating. Wait 20 minutes between servings. This lets the body decide if it is full or not.
  10. Don’t skip meals. Not eating may seem like a good way to lose pounds fast. The reality is that not eating makes the body believe food is scarce. It will store as much fat as possible to protect itself from starvation. Eat at least 3 balanced meals every day. It is even better to eat several small meals through the day then just three large ones. Don’t go hungry. This tends to cause over eating, or the consumption of the wrong foods. If meals are 5 hours or more apart eat a healthy snack. Fruit or vegetables are a good option. They are low in calories and carbohydrates, are filling but metabolize quickly. Eating within 2 hours of waking up is important as well. It jump starts the metabolism and provides energy for the day.
  11. Increase proper exercise to increase calories being burned. This can be as easy as parking the car at the far end of the parking lot. Taking stairs is a fast way to burn calories.
