How to make yourself look younger

Have you just realised that your skin is no more the glowy and satiny skin that it used to be, once upon a time? Well, the truth is that all of us have to go through this as we begin to age. Our skin begins to lose its glow and its elasticity making it looser and dull.

However, some of us seem to remain unaffected by age while others seem to be affected by it too early. Well, the fact is that if you care for your skin properly then you can also keep it younger looking and glowing for longer. Here are a few tips for keeping your skin young and beautiful.

Eat nutritious balanced diet

Eating healthy and nutritious food such as vegetables and fruits, especially the brightly coloured fruits, green leafy vegetables, will benefit our bodies. They are rich sources of antioxidants. These antioxidants fight off the free radicals that cause the collagen of our skin to break down. Hence, eating them in good proportions will keep your skin firm and young. Besides, you must already know the importance of drinking enough water everyday.

Keep your skin moisturised

When you think about cleaning your skin, you get into the shower or take a bath. While they do clean up your skin, they also cause it to dry up. Dry skin is more prone to be wrinkled. Hence, you need to keep it moisturised. Therefore, as soon as you take a bath or even after cleansing your face, you should follow with a moisturiser. This will ensure that your skin is moist enough. Now, if you have an oily skin, then choose a moisturiser that is water based and not oil-based.

Too much sun is bad

While there is hardly anything that can match the fun and relaxation that you can have sitting around in the sun, sun can cause a lot of damage to your skin too. Therefore, before you spend a day lying around in the sun on the beach, remember to put on loads of sunscreen and do not expose yourself too much to the sun.

Use AHA

AHA is nothing but Alpha Hydroxy Acid. It is a particular chemical that you can commonly find in moisturisers as well as other skin care products. AHA works to remove the dead skin cells and reveal the softer healthier skin lying underneath.

Make sure you get enough sleep

You need a minimum of seven or eight hours of sleep every night. As we sleep, our body recharges itself and prepares to face another day. Your skin also recharges during sleep. Hence, always remember to take enough sleep. This way, you will keep years off your skin.
